My name is Ditta Harangi. I’m in my final year of Communcation and Media Studies master programme specialized in intercultural communication. In the last few years I participated in two Erasmus IPs (in Lithuania and Turkey) and last autumn I spent 4 months in Oslo as an exchange student. I’ve always been interested in getting to know different cultures and countries and meeting new people but after these experiences I could say I absolutely fell in love with everything that has to do with interculturalism. That was the reason for me to come up with the idea of creating this working group. I hope you will enjoy the adventures of Divercity.
Anyway, I’m a passionate fan of music, 20th century literature and contemporary art. I honestly believe that art is also a special way of representing the different worldviews of cultures or generations.
I am a graduate communications student at Corvinus University of Budapest specializing in Intercultural Communication and one of the editors of DiverCity blog. Besides university life I work as a volunteer immigrant mentor for a Hungarian NGO focusing on intercultural communication. My friends say that since the beginning of the academic year they’ve heard me saying the word „intercultural” more frequently than any other one, so I guess I am quite motivated and passionate about the aim of the blog. I am also interested in the situation of refugees in Hungary and islamophopia in western countries. I enjoy reading the literature of the beat generation, getting surprised by the limitlessness of performance art, listening to contemporary jazz and playing Chopin with perfect imperfection.
Csachó Fanni
I am Fanni Csachó, 19 years old and I am a second-year student studying communication and media. I joined this project because I like meeting new people who have different cultural background and I find it interesting in what way their worldview and attitudes are matching or different than mine. In my free time I like reading and singing.

Pap Zita
My name is Zita, I’m a master’s student at Corvinus University of Budapest. I really like travelling and meeting new cultures. While studying international relations as a bachelor course I gladly took the opportunity to spend half year abroad with Erasmus in the Netherlands a year ago. Kocsis Diána Csilla
I am Agnes Benak (Benák Ágnes). I’m from Serbia, but my whole family is Hungarian. Actually, the part of the country where I live is full of Hungarians, but a lot of people from other nations live there as well. Maybe this is the reason why am I interested in other cultures.I moved to Budapest 2 years ago, because I wanted to study here at Corvinus University at Communication and Media faculty. I really like travelling, actually if I could I would travel everywhere all around the world. However it is impossible right now, so I would like to bring a little fun and interesting people in my life but here, in Budapest.
Máncs Noémi Nóra
I am a senior student of Communications and Media Studies at CUB, specializing in Intercultural Communication.
So… what should I tell about myself? I don’t know… So I simply asked my friends to tell me their opinion about me. Well they say I am: funny and crazy in a good way. Even so I can be serious and hard-working.
I like reading good books; while I read a book I can feel that I am the part of story. For me this is the best thing about reading.I am interested in this topic mainly because I can empathize with those people who have to or decide to change their country, because I was born in the Hungarian diaspora.
Kocsis Diána Csilla
My name is Diána Csilla Kocsis. I study communication and media at Corvinus University of Budapest. I’ve always been interested in cultural differences but I realized that only when I was an Erasmus student in England. I lived with different types of people from different countries in England which can be really interesting, entertaining and memorable. When I came back to my country I just wanted to share my experiences and my memories.
I would like to tell everybody how amazing can the differences between other countries be. That is why I went abroad again but last summer my target was America. That was also an incredible adventure in my life.
So I would strongly recommend to everybody to try to get to know different people from different countries because the world is so colourful and interesting.
